The launch of the Future Internet (FI) Public Private Partnership (PPP) Programme

The launch of the Future Internet (FI) Public Private Partnership (PPP) Programme is a major milestone in the development of Europe’s Internet of the Future. The programme engages the major stakeholders in Europe to significantly advance the implementation and uptake of European-scale markets for smart infrastructures.

The projects will work together to align, coordinate and integrate their central horizontal cross-case elements and functionalities, as well as align their activities with other related initiatives. The Programme further invites related external stakeholders, including users, SMEs, research community, policy makers, corporates, public sector, legal and governance bodies and related global initiatives to contribute and participate in the implementation of the shared vision.

FI PPP Programme acknowledges the existing interdependencies and linkages to preceding systems, competences and structures, as well as the impacts of past decisions and strategic directions of the FI development path. We look forward to working with the earlier FII projects to leverage past work and investments and together build smart, connected and innovative Internet of the Future in Europe!
